I’ve placed an order Ex Cellars. What happens next?

Once we have received your order we will send you a pro forma invoice confirming your purchase and requesting payment by cheque or BACS transfer. At this point the wine is reserved in your name. Once we have received payment you will then receive a paid invoice for this first instalment.

When will I take delivery on my wine?

Once the wine is in the country, we will send you an invoice for the second instalment for duty, shipping & handling and VAT on the total amount (including the wine) if you are taking delivery of the wine to your home. Here is a guide as to shipping times of past and current Ex Cellars offers:

As a guide, Bordeaux wines are shipped 3 years from vintage as the wines need time to mature in barrel before being bottled and shipped.

Can I store my wine duty paid or under bond with you?

Yes you can. We recommend storing with R. S. Hicks Ltd at Octavian Vaults in Corsham, Wiltshire. Contact Ronnie Hicks for further information on 01380 831155.
